As the lights grow dim at 11:45,
listen carefully if anyone is walking by your side.
false judgement can play the mind,
but beware the midnight chime.
weaving through the financial district,
Testament chooses her victim,
whether well or sick.
She'll come for your mind and your eyes,
not giving you the choice to say good-bye.

The Story

Rowena Richardson was once a district attorney with the city at her hand. People trembled when she would walk into a court room. Her name was known to all in the world of law with the nickname of "Pallas Athena", the goddess of war and wisdom.

She won many cases, and her reputation arose to the top ranks. As happy as she was, she had no one by her side and sorrow jabbed away at her mind. Years would go by and slowly she began to develop a few flaws in her work. Finally one night she was to par-take in a case dealing with a double homicide. She met with the other attorney and they went over what there clients wanted and there claims. Afterwards the opposing attorney walked up to her and asked her if she wanted to go have dinner with him on a saturday night. Without a thought of what the "Code of the Law World" was she said yes. The two had dinner, went to watch movies, and saw each other more and more. As time went by, her heart blindly did follow the man, forgetting every rule about being a lawyer. The guy got closer and closer to her and she grew happy with each moment of there time together. he would whisper to her Endless fantasys of happiness; About moving away, about family, and on went the dreams.

The night before the trial he slept over at her place. They shared a night of passion and laid by each other in a sweet slumber. The following morning she woke up and found that the man had left with all his stuff. As she fumbled around, she noticed that her briefcase was gone as well as her car keys. She immediatly called a cab and went to the court house for the hearing being a 1/2 hour late. Unprepared with the case she went through the trial without a clue in mind. She glanced at the other attorney as he glared back at her. "What had happened?" she wondered. Hours went by and finally the judge called the choice. GUILTY!! The man that the woman had been defending was proven guilty. She had failed for the first time, and it sent her esteem twirling down. Outside, she met with the man in a panic and drowning herself in the tears of failure. The man just pushed her away and explained that the only reason why he got close was for the case. He was chosen by many other lawyers to challenge her, and the bets were high. He walked away not looking back at her as she fell to the floor. Her esteem and mind both shattered into pieces and the wallowing of her cries echoed through the court house halls.

That night she drove herself out 2 hrs into the country side hopeing to clear her mind. Upon her flooded mind she didn't pay attention to the road when suddenly out of the darkness a rabbit hopped onto the road. She swirved her car to the left and was completely thrown off the road. The car tackled down through a corn field and slammed right through a shack. She flew out the window and landed on the hood of her car. Her body was bruised and a sharp pain was ringing through her head. She adjusted her eyes and looked up to find a scythe deeply dug into her fore-head. Slowly and slowly death loomed over her and then she gave her final breath and laid to rest.

It was said that after her death, she came back to the city in hunt for anyone in her field of work. She carried with her the "Scythe and Scales of Judgement" in her suitcase when she went to "work". She'd play the part of the judge and take the scythe with her to carve out the too parts of a person that had resulted in her doom and sorrow. Those two things were the mind (being of knowledge) and the eyes (the ones that cast an illusion) With these two parts she'd weigh them and discover for herself, which part was at fault.
