When you're walking through the hospital halls,
where the sick and diseased crawl,
have you ever heard the screams and cries of the ones who suffer?
the crys of babies or the screams of mothers?
through these halls of pain and health,
theres one lady that that comes for more then your wealth.
She drops in with her hands abound,
regret makes her killings with out a sound.

The Story

No matter what you do as a career in the future, it seems as if trouble will always be waiting for you. No matter how much you've studied your way through your life to become one of the best, theres always one single weak point that can tear it all down.

Nancy Kane went through her university life in a breeze. She graduated med school and went well off to become a doctor. She dedicated her life to saving peoples lives, espcially with helping out victims with AIDS. Her bond with some of the paticiants was what gave alot of them hope to continue there life or to let go and live the next life. It wasn't until a few more years flew by, she married the man of her dreams and they bought a house out by the Hills. Her reputation for being a good doctor grew all over the city and across the states. Many people flocked to seek her help and she would always be there for them.

Having the perfect job and perfect husband, she decided to have the perfect family. So then time came when she gave birth to two children, a boy and a girl. Nancy lived the life of everyones dream. She was very happy with what she had accomplished in her lifetime.

Years went by and one day a war was waged across the sea, and Nancy's husband was drafted to leave. Nancy and her children spent the night before with him at dinner. He told her that he would call and write them as much as he could. The night passed and he left for the war.

Nancy had nothing to worry about, her trust and love for her husband was so strong that nothing could bring her down. She also made a deal with her husband that she'd grow her hair out long until he returned. She continued her work and watched over her two children. Her daughter was 13 and her son was 17. Both grew up in the city and in the country with there mom. It wasn't too long after Nancy's husband left, the son started going through a rebelious stage on teenagehood.
the daughter slowly followed in her brotheres foot steps and quickly picked up his habits. Nancy caught the boy smoking once and had him sent to a juvenile detention center. Only later to find out that he was also joined in a gang. When he was released he ran away from home with his sister. Nancy attentioned the police and had them look for her two kids. It wasn't until a night later she receieved a call from the general hospital that they've found her daughter and she has had overdosed on some extascy from a rave. Nancy rushed over to the hospital only to find her son sitting next to his sisters bed. Her heart rate calmed down and she was said to be ok. The day after, Nancy took them home and grounded her son for 4 months, as for the daughter 6 months.

The two children didn't let that stop them though and kept sneaking out the house and so she'd chase after them. Thus a cycle it became, and Nancy grew weary.

After about several months and not a single letter, Nancy headed to a local bar in the city. There she sat alone by herself next to another lonely soul. She appeared to be a prostitute and was obviously really down on her luck. Nancy approached the girl and began to converse with her. The two chattered the night away and laughter began to arise from Nancy's face. The young girl's name was Lita and she had been working on the streets since her teenage years. She said she had been feeling very odd lately with her body and she started having strange marks on her Lymph nodes. Nancy suggested for Lita to come in for a check up at her hospital completely free. Nancy brought Lita to her home and let her sleep in the living room. The following morning Nancy took Lita to the hospital and ran a check up and a blood test for Lita. It wasn't until a few weeks later the results from the blood test came back. . . . Lita was HIV+ . Not just any kind though, it was a strand of HIV that was really new. The new virus was able to readjust and fight off any type of medicine that was known to slow it down. This gave Nancy a green light, and she began to prescribe medicine to Lita, to aid her health. She also let Lita stay with her family in her house with one rule: never go upstairs where she and the children slept. Nancy was glad she had found this girl and was in hopes of possibly finding a new medicine that could fight off this new strand of HIV.

a Few more months went by and still no sign of her husband. Nancy began to think of the possibilites that maybe her husband had died. She began to cry one night letting her tears soak deep into the carpet. Lita couldn't help but follow the cries and she approached Nancy's room. She kneeled down to Nancy and asked her what was wrong. In her tears Nancy could not speak a single word and Lita put her arms around Nancy. In that instant Lita looked around in Nancy's room at all the pictures of her and her husband. Nancy looked at Lita only to notice the expression of shock in her eyes. She asked Lita what was wrong and Lita was speechless. Lita finally got around to utter the words "tha. . thats. . .your. . .husband?" Confused as ever, Nancy looked back at the pictures on the wall and then back at Lita. She told her the entire story about how her husband had left for the war over sea. After that Lita revealed something that tore deeply into Nancy. Lita explained that she had worked in the next city about 45 mins away from where they were and had seen Nancy's husband not that long ago at a bar. Nancy's tears of sorrow soon became those of anger. She asked for the location of the bar and immediatly headed out leaveing Lita behind.

So many things were running through Nancy's head while she was driving to the next city like what would she say, what would she do. Fourty-five mins went by and Nancy approached the crowed bar. She tied up her hair and slipped through the crowds and there at the bar she spotted him. Husband, but. . .where was his wedding ring? Why was there another ring in that place? Suddenly a passer-by drunk falls against Nancy knocking her down. She immediatly gets back up only to come face to face with her husband. She saw the shock in his eyes and turned around and ran back to her car. She couldn't stop crying on her way home and she when she reached home she saw a bunch of police cars and ambulance outside. She got out of the car and ran into the house. There she stood looking at what was Lita's lifeless body. Lita's body was extremely pale, and Nancy had them immediatly send her to the hospital she worked at. In the next room she found her son and daughter hand cuffed to the chair. The officer approached Nancy and told her that her son and daughter had taken a large quantity of Acid, Shrooms, "E" and Crystal and hallucinated all sorts of things. They said that the son was also drunk and told the officers that he had seen a devil and him and his sister tried to kill it. After they killed the monster the son explained that he saw his girlfriend, made passionate love to her and she then morphed into a stange animal wouldn't stop screeching and he was trying to cook it. The officer explained what had really happen was that Nancy's son and daughter both beat Lita to death and then began to insert things in between her legs while cutting her mouth while it screamed. Nancy was unsure how to take all this that was running through her head and screamed for all the officers to leave the house. She walked up to her room and laid in her bed with a blank stare in her eyes.

It was 2:00 in the morning and the son and daughter had fallen asleep on the chair, the house was suddenly disturbed a little when a car pulled up in the drive way. The son and daughter woke up and turned to look at the front door as it slowly opened. At the door stood Nancy's husband with an estranged look on his face. He stared at his two kids in silent confusion, "what the hell happened?". Suddenly they heard a loud crash coming from outside, Nancy's husband peered through the window only to see that a TV had landed on top of his car. He began to walk towards the front door when suddenly out from the side of the doorway, Nancy appeared. She had let her hair down, and it flowed down passed her back. She had a strange giggle on her face and she looked right into her husband's eyes. He said "Nancy, please let me explain" with that he saw a gleam of light flash right by his chin. He felt something thick slither down his chest, and he reached down to touch it. It was his blood, Nancy had taken out one of her operating blades and slashed him in the throat. The son and the daughter screamed, and nancy started to jab away at her husband with her surgical blades. She finally pushed him onto the ground and sat on top of him. Without any word, she tore a hole into his shirt and began slicing into his chest. The children watched in horror as there mother took apart there father. She reached her hand deep into the body and ripped out the heart. She turned and looked at her children and slowly began pacing herself to them. She took out the surgical blades and slashed at the daughter repeatly. The two could not move, with the hand cuffs so tightly around them, they were both doomed to die. Nancy took apart her daughter piece by piece while she was alive, and then she took apart her son.

the morning after the police came back only to find the remains of what was Nancy's family. If the police had not come the night before, there would've been no way for them to figure out who the bodies were.

Nancy dissappeared without a trace but a few years later her body was discovered in the hospital basement where she used to work. Some how, her body was found and it layed with her heart in her hand. Evidence show that she had opened herself up and took out her own heart. Nancy went on to become the lady now known as "Regret". She regretted the day she met her husband and had her kids, she regretted the day the sun ever shined on her face. She floats around random hospitals with her hair completely flowing to the ground. She had her hands tied back and has let hair do her bidding with the surgical blades. She comes for only one thing in mind. The human heart, in regret of her wasted time.
